Esoxium

Composition :

Each capsule contains :

20 mg or 40 mg esomeprazole.

Indications :

1. Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).

2. Peptic ulcer disease. 

Dosage & Administration :

Esoxium should be administered one hour before meals. Capsules should not be chewed or crushed. Patients with difficulty swallowing can open the capsules & mix the pellets with water to drink the dose :

1. Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) :

* Erosive Reflux Esophagitis : 40 mg once daily for 4 weeks. An additional 4 weeks, treatment is recommended for patients in whom esophagitis has not healed or who have persistent symptoms.

* Long-term management of patients with healed esophagitis to prevent relapse : 20 mg once daily.

* Gastro esophageal Reflux

2. Peptic ulcers : 20 mg twice daily or 40 mg once daily for 7 days. For the eradications of Helicobacter pylori associated duodenal ulcer & prevention of relapse of peptic ulcers. 20 mg Esoxium with 1 g amoxicillin & 500 mg clarithromycin, all twice daily for 7 days. A once daily dose of 40 mg Esoxium in combination with amoxicillin & clarithromycin for 10 days also used.

Note : Esoxium should not be used in children since no data base is available.

Composition :

Each film coated tablet contains : Sildenafil citrate equivalent to 50mg Sildenafil

Indications :

BIOGRA is indicated to facilitate erection in men with erectile dysfunction.

BIOGRA also improve erectile function for men suffering from diabetes mellitus, depression and after radical prostatectomy.

Dosage & Administration :

- BIOGRA is administered for men only.

- The recommended dose of BIOGRA is one tablet (contains 50mg sildenafil) taken before one hour of sexual activity; however the effect begin after 0.5hour and persist for 4hours. Based on effectiveness and toleration, the dose may be increased to a maximum dose 2 tablets(100mg sildenafil) or decreased to 0.5 tablet (25mg sildenafil). The recommended dosing frequency is one per day.

- A starting dose of 25mg sildenafil (0.5 tablet) should be considered in the following cases:

   Age > 65 years, hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment and concomitant use of potent cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors.

- BIOGRA is not indicated for use in children or women.

Indications :

Adults & children over 6 years : 1-2 tablets for 3-5 times daily or as prescribed by the physician.

Composition :

Indications :

(Biogent is indicated in infections produced by sensitive gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria mentioned previously. Clinical papers register a multiplicity of situations where this product has given excellent results: uro-genital, respiratory, peritoneal infections, sepsis, meningitis, encephalitis, hospital infections, otorhinolaryngologic and dermatologic infections.

Dosage & Administration :

Administration should be given under supervision of the physician. As a general rule the course of treatment should be limited to 7-10 days.

Adults : Intramuscular administration 80 mg twice a day. This dosage may be increased although it is generally sufficient in urogenital infections.

In case of burns and systemic infections depending on its seriousness, during the acute phase initially administer 80 mg Biogent by i.m. route 3 times daily. Afterwards the dose is reduced to 40 mg gentamicin 3 times daily.

In meningitis and encephalitis the dose should be 80 mg 4 times daily.

In cases where life is in danger owing to the severity of the infections the total daily dosage may be increased to 5 mg/kg of body weight but vestibular and kidney function must be watched.

Infants & Children : The doses are usually somewhat higher than those in adults but exact dosage recommendations vary. The suggested dose is 3 mg of gentamicin / kg every 12 hours in premature infants & those up to 2 weeks of age, with older neonates & children receiving 2 mg / kg every 8 hours. Alternatively, 2.5 mg/ kg every 12 hours in the first week of life; 2.5 mg / kg every 8 hours in infants & neonates; and 2-2.5 mg / kg every 8 hours in children has been suggested.

Indications :

BIOSTAN forte is indicated for treatment of the following:

- Moderate pain such as headache, toothache, joint pain, pain after childbirth, pain due to paranasal sinusitis and ear pain.

- Menstrual disorders (menstrual pain, etc.).

- Painful swelling or inflammation following injury or surgery.

- Spinal conditions.

- Joint inflammations.

Dosage & Administration :

- The tablet should be swallowed whole with sufficient fluid during or after a meal.

- The recommended dose for adolescents from 14 years and adults is one tablet of BIOSTAN forte 2 to 3 times daily.

- The physician to decide on the duration of treatment.

Composition :

Each tablet contains : Metformin HCL  500 mg

Indications :

Biophage is used in type 2 diabetes mellitus : maturity- onset diabetes : non -insulin- dependent diabetes mellitus; NIDD.

It may be used alone or in combination with sulphonyl urea and insulin, and in combination with insulin in young diabetics.

Biophage is used also in overweight diabetics

Dosage & Administration :

1.5 – 3.0 gm of Metformin per day i.e. 1-2 tablets with food three times daily.
